The Book “His Royal Majesty “
Ayomide D'great aka InuAyo D'great is a poet and a wikipedia verified writer.

Tell us about yourself. Who is Ayomide D’great?
Alright, I'm Inufin Ayomide better known as Ayomide D'great or InuAyo D'great or better still Oba Inufin Ayomide D'great. I'm a Writer, poet, Voice actor, lyricist, creative, content developer, presenter and public speaker.

Why Poetry of all forms of writing?
Actually, poetry is just a major or let me call it a focus. I'm into the three genres (prose and play) but I have a lesser focus on them. Poetry to me is a weapon I use in communicating to the society especially to my audience and I see it as a creative way of let out my creativity.

So tell us; we see you drop new poems on a daily with cool rhymes, where do you get your inspiration from?
Without no prejudice to religion or spirituality, I am proud to say that God is the source of my inspiration... Most times, I say a silent prayer before I pen on paper.

Wow!
So after your prayer ideas and rhymes just flow in when you start writing? That is Amazing! Personally I’m a believer, so I totally can relate.
(Chuckles) i can't actually explain this cos it just happens... And I'm always grateful for that.

Tell us how you started writing..... at what age did you first discover this gift?
First off, let me tell you the tale of a little boy, the power in his dream.
There's this little kid that loves and desires to be a great writer, he had a strong aspiration of becoming one. But at that time he lacked the attitude, qualities and all that it takes to become a great writer. In later time, he began to study people he could emulate from. He started studying Prof. Wole Soyinka and the great Williams Shakespeare and this is how the journey of his career kicked off. He started writing his  own stories at age 9. Then he wrote a storybook titled *The girl called Fat*
At that time he was inspired by his then classmate, he actually admired the fact that she writes and he felt that he could do so and stir the fire within.

Author- Ayomide D'great

At that point in time, he was a story writer cos he love imaginative and creative fairy tales. He continued to write even in my secondary school. He made it to the school spotlight when he wrote a play titled *Politics Era* series 1&2. The accolades he got at that time was indeed a morale boost which helped his writing steadfastness. He then switched to writing more of articles and controversial stories when he became the school Literary and Debating Prefect. This gave him a better writing chance which also won him his first writing prize as at that time.
When he finished secondary school in 2010. He started writing poetry. He knew he could do it better but then he was writing poems like musical lyrics until 2012 (at that time, he was already in the University) when he met Olaleye Samuel Superman who advised him to turn his lyrical writing to poetic lines. He was under his tutelage for a while then he got my bearing then decided to do it my own way.

He further ventured into lyrical writing which helped his poetic skills greatly, as a lyricist at that, he was so conscious of making sure every line was a hit and of course a lot of consistency and hard work  worked out for him...
So today, I'm he is round, he can easily do all with all pleasure.
He has written over 2 Thousand poems, 12 poetry collections, plays, short stories and other journals. Recently he got verified by Wikipedia as a writer and poet. He will be writing a powerful review for an author will as well feature the review of Prof Wole Soyinka (his icon) in coming time.
Guess what? That little boy is me and that is my writing story. (chuckles)

Self believe, self actualization and determination are qualities that I've grown with over the years of which has helped my writing ability and career a lot. This is the same qualities I propelled in the book which will make the societal mentality change for the better. My will change the mindset of the society. My book will teach the society how to be kings and queens realizing this from self consciousness and realization.

What do you do for pleasure?
I love being sarcastic, cracking jokes, touring (adventure), sometimes hang out with friends and so other things that comes to mind.

What do you like doing if you aren't writing?
Playing video games, watching interesting movies on Netflix, listening to music on eyepiece, chatting with lively souls, having phone conversations with close friends.

So what are your favorite topics to write about?
Societal happens generally, anything that roams around the society.
To me, that's the best way people can understand whatever you communicate.

Now lets talk about your book.
what's the story behind it... Like what motivated it?
The book is only to enlighten everyone especially the younger generation about self actualization of inner awesomeness.
The book also talked about the richness and the relevance of the African kingship system which also leads to high self esteem and self worth that will apparently change the mind set of the society.

Do you have a royal role model?
Yes I do, the Ooni of Ife( his royal majesty).

Amazing! If you don’t mind, what exactly about him do you like?
His personality; Young, smart, articulate, intelligent, rich, cultural and most importantly he is royalty... These are qualities I desire so much...

Your role model was wisely selected I must say.
So tell us how would the book impact the society?
It is expected to change the mindset of the majority because it will teach the society how to be kings and queens realizing it from self consciousness and realization.

What do you think about poetry in nigeria?
Is it getting enough recognition as it should get?
Well, personally, I feel poetry is not well appreciated over here. Though, lately, spoken word poetry is rising but I feel they should be more accolades to what it getting, rather than getting just 'wows' and 'applause', it should be rated as huge as entertainment itself. My opinion.
Talking about recognition, I feel it needs to be well recognized just like I said previously, poetry is a great art, and it will be beautiful if the movers and the shakers can recognize this and wear her the worthy crown...

Thank you for your responses so far. You do have a beautiful story Ayomide D’great. And I really do hope youths out there get to learn a thing or two from this story.
You have done a great job do far.
I'm humbled and privileged. Thanks!

But something i would love to know is do you see yourself as a figure role model with the what the book entails?
To some good number of people, I guess I am.

So any advice for those young upcoming poets who write little poems behind their notebooks?
(Smiles) To upcoming young poets, keep writing, be consistent, accept construction correction, make sure you're doing it exceptionally unique and awesome. And most importantly, make a hell of noise about your works.

Thanks so much Ayomide D’great. It was nice having you here on this platform.
May God continue to bless you, inspire you, and promote you.
My pleasure!
Amen!!
