There exists 540 known Shark Species.
57 of this total number are said to be capable of producing light; but this has never been proved, not until recently.
This speculation has for the first time been proven valid. According to a study published by researchers from the Catholic University of Louvain and the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, some New Zealand Scientists who captured the first-ever photo of the glow-in-the-shark producing its own light. 

Kitefin Shark produces light

It was found in an area of ocean known as Chatham Rise, off the east coast of New Zealand's South Island. Thus making the "Kitefin Shark, Dalatias licha the world's largest known bioluminescent vertebrate, growing to nearly six(6) feet in length.
A co-author, Jerome Mallefet, these species live between 656 and 2,953 feet below the ocean's surface, hence they are really difficult to observe
