IN OUR WORLD TODAY, WHO REALLY IS PERFECT?

18:32

Before a word is used, we must have a great deal of information and understanding on what that word means. Hence, What is Perfection?

Perfection is a state of being complete, attaining the highest state of excellence, maturity, being entirely divine and faultless.

Based on this definition of perfection, can you really think of anyone with these attributes? Can you really refer to anyone in your life right no as being perfect? Your father? Mother? Sibling? Pastor? Teacher?

Even the bible has never referred to anyone as being perfect except our Lord Jesus Christ. David was chosen and anointed by God still was not perfect. King Solomon was the wisest man on earth, he still was not perfect. If humans were perfect, why then did our Lord Jesus Christ die on the cross? Who then are the sinners he died for?

In the same bible, during Jesus’ time on earth, I recall a story of the adulterous woman brought to Jesus by the Jews, protesting that she be stoned to death for her sins in accordance with the laws of the land. But Jesus answered saying,” if there be anyone among you that is without sin he should be the first to cast a stone at this woman. Just as he thought, they all dispersed one after the other knowing that they were all sinners. For all have fallen short of his glory, we are all sinners o no comparison and according to the definition of perfection(being entirely divine), sin is no attribute of a perfect person.

Once upon a time, we lived in a world driven by love and oneness(unity). Man could easily rely on his neighbor, man could easily Vogue for his own brother, man could easily rely on relatives for support in times of need, but those things are now of old. Today we live in a world where Trust is in extinction, morals and values are seen as being irrelevant, manners no longer a criteria, money now the major determinant of every area of a man’s life, here he goes, his friends, where he sleeps, where he goes, etc. Evil roams around even in broad day light, betrayal now mistaken for wisdom, promises now an escape route, hence disappointment is the order of the day. Education no longer a yastic, no longer a determinant of what and who a man becomes, no longer a stepping stone even for the poor who strives through school. War now a way of life, peace now considered irrelevant and a waste of time, emotions being toiled with, false witness risen everywhere, beliefs no longer held close to the heart, immorality now the reigning system. Brothers betray brothers, sisters betray sisters, wives kill husbands, the poor being oppressed by the rich, adultery now mistaken for wisdom. I could go on with this list, a lot of things happening around us and committed by us. Men of God committing adultery, stealing from their congregations, divorcing their wives, engaging in rituals and other fetish acts. Who really is perfect?

In our simple day-to-day activities, we may find ourselves in certain situations where lying is the only way out, unmarried persons engaging in the act of fornication, Some ladies commit the sin of abortion, some men converts their neighbor's goods and wives. Even in our encounters with annoying persons, we are forced to use certain ill-words(curse), we bear false witnesses, we call on other mere gods, we gossip. Who really is perfect?

A sin is a sin, no matter the gravity of the offence, we are all sinners of no comparison!
No man born of a woman is perfect. Some persons, even in sin did their mothers conceive them. For all has in one way or the other fallen short of the glory of God, hence we should never put it upon ourselves the right to pass judgement upon anyone. Not even our law-makers should be left out on this. Biblically speaking, I believe in second chances! Taking a stroll down memory lane, God had the power needed to wipe out all humanity for every sin it had committed, but instead he sent his only son to die for our sake that we may all be redeemed. Indeed laws exist to balance peace in our nations, but I stand against death penalties. Sentencing a murderer to death is just like committing the same crime as he is being convicted for. Who really is perfect?

Hence, in our imperfections, it is best and wise to humble ourselves before every man, woman, boy and girl, in every situation, no matter what position we occupy, no matter how fat our bank account may be, no matter what point you are trying to make, remain humble, judge no one, allocate that much time you spend on gossiping and crucifying others on improving your life and ways. Laugh out loud as often as you can, smile freely and simply.

Live, Love, Forgive and Forget. There is absolutely no need hating. It is a negative energy. It Kills!

In all my findings, nobody is perfect after all!
