(Psidium Guajava) belongs to the
family of Myrtaceae. It is soft when
ripe with a sweet aroma and creamy texture. The fleshy part varies in colour,
it may be white, pink, yellow or red. And comprises of numerous semi hard
edible seeds, concentrated at its centre.
Guava
is cultivated in Northern Nigeria in states like Kebbi, Sokoto, Adamawa, Yobe,
etc.
